Hi, I’m Bev Thorogood, owner and founder of Floresco Fitness and Fat Loss Coaching.
As a woman of a ‘certain age’ (actually I’m 51 at the time of writing!) I know all too well how difficult it can be to look and feel great when you’re trying to navigate the trials and tribulations of middle age. Weight loss seems harder, energy levels seem lower, aches and pains seems plentiful and hot flushes, itchy, dry skin, brain fog and tears seem to be the order of the day.
Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. With the right mindset, the right diet and the right amount of activity almost all of the the symptoms of middle age can be dealt with.
In fact, this should be an amazing time in our lives. Generally the kids are older, we have more wisdom and experience, we’ve made enough mistakes to know what doesn’t work and what does and we’re still young enough to know how to have fun.
It’s really quite a liberating time and we should embrace it with open arms.
Sometimes though, we need a bit of support to help us see things more clearly.
As a fitness and fat loss coach, I specialise in helping women to finally take control of their weight without the need for faddy diets or extreme levels of exercise.

I truly believe that the only way to manage weight long term is to change the mindset around the behaviours that lead to weight gain. Get the head in the right place and the body will quickly follow.
